Free to Roam!

The kids have a new play room! They outgrew our first one which was our breakfast nook/dining room, so we moved them to the front room. We went to Lowe's yesterday and found a giant carpet remnant for only fourty dollars! We were so excited. It gives the kids so much more room and now I can see them from the kitchen. I am probably more excited about this than they are, but now we can all play together without smashing eachother! Here are some pics of the old room and the new room!

5 years??!!

Jake had his five year anniversary with Quik Trip this month. We got to go to a really nice dinner on Wednesday. It was the first time we have been out to dinner alone since Easter weekend. It was alot of fun. We started talking and realized that Jake started at QT about a month after we started dating. That means we've been together for five years now too. I know it doesn't seem like a long time but we think it's pretty stinkin cool. Congratulation Jake! We love you. In baby news, the kids are doing great. Carter and Hudson are up on all fours tryig to crawl and sit. Ella is still pulling up on everything. Still no words yet but we care really working on it. Their new favorite thing to do is crawl under the excersaucer and get stuck so I have to crawl in there and get them. It becomes difficult at times because I am not the limber gal I used to be. The kids also got some new big kid PJs this week. They are too cute in them. We had to find some with rubber feet because they will be walking before you know it.

this is where you yell SOONER! OK that was fun. Seriously I know I havn't posted in a while. I've just been busy and there really hasn't been much going on. I have been going up to Oklahoma for all the OU games and we got to stay home this weekend so we have been trying to get some stuff done. My Nanna and Poppa came down to see us on their way to Coloroda via the Grand Canyon. I know we sound a little out of the way for them, but if you know my Poppa, a 500 mile detour is nothing. Especially when their are three little ones he can see. The kids are doin great. Ella, the biting bandit, is back. She bit Carter twice last night, but I caught her before she could do any major damage. She has also starting knawing on her crib. Not just nibbling, we are now through the paint to the wood, so I have a lovely bright beach towel zip tied and taped across the top of her bed so she can't chew through to the center. That little beaver! If the towel works, I will probably invest in a matching black one, with black zip ties and tape so it isn't so obviously tacky looking. Well, back to the kidlets, here are some pictures from the past couple days!

Dr., Dr., give me the news.....

I've got a bad case of......nothing! We are perfectly healthy! Dr. McGehee was very impressed with the growth and development of all three kidlets. Only bad news is, Carter has to give up his bubba by ten months. Yep, I was going to wait until one year, but the Doc said toss it! I'm going to just give it to him at night for two weeks and then throw it away, hopefully that will make it a little easier on him. Probably not but one can hope right? So here are the official nine month stats.

Hudson: 18 lbs 9 oz. and 27 1/2" long
Ella: 20 lbs 0 oz. and 28 1/2" long
Carter: 17 lbs 11 oz and 27 1/2" long

Hudson and Carter are in the 47th percentile which the doctor said was awesome!!! Ella, my big chunk of love, is in the 98th percentile. That's right ladies and gentleman, only two percent of the babies in the world are bigger than the eight week premature little girl. Dr. McGehee was pretty shocked and said he thinks she should slow down on growth while the boys will continue to catch up, hopefully. In other news, Ella has now started biting. She bit Hudson on the face twice yesterday and he now has one giant bite mark on each cheek. She hasn't done it today, so we will see how it goes. Here is a pic of them on our way to the doctor and Hudson's souvenir from Ella.

Let Freedom Run!

Last night, Jake was in the September 11th, "Let Freedom Run" 5K. Me and the kids went to support him and had a great time. They had a great turnout, and after the race there was a band and a live feed from Iraq where people got to talk to their families. The kids were so good through the whole thing. Jake did great and finished the race in 33 minutes. This morning me and the kids went to the park to try out the swings. They LOVED them! Not suprising since I had to pry them out of their own baby swings. They just laughed and squealed the whole time. Tomorrow is our nine month doctor appointment with Dr. McGehee. I'll let you know the vital stats tomorrow! Here's some pics from our adventures last night and today.

Weekend in T-Town!

We just got back from a fun weekend in Tulsa. Friday night me and the kids went over to Brad and Brynn's and had a great time! I now must have "Guitar Hero." Thanks Sam. Saturday my Nanna, Grandma Vicky and Aunt Paula stayed with the kids so I could go to the OU game. It was so much fun and I was so glad to get to start going again. I missed the last two last year because I was in the hospital and that was more than I have missed since I was 13. It was a great game even though it was about 117 degrees. Ella is now standing and pulling up on everything. Then she looks around and yells until someone will come look at her and tell her good job. They are such hams! Here's some pics from this weekend!

"Born together, friends forever"

There is a woman in Arlington who just had quadruplets and on her blog header she has "Born together, friends forever." Today it really hit home. I had the most fun moment since becoming a mom to triplets. I was folding laundry in the living room while the kids were taking a nap, and all of the sudden I hear giggling. I wait for a minute, and the giggling turns to full on belly laughs. I went to their room and looked through a crack in the door and the kids are staring at eachother cracking up. One of them would make a funny noise and the other two would laugh, then someone else would yell and the laughter started all over again. It was just so much fun standing at the door knowing that these three kids are always going to be there for eachother. They will always have a friend to back them up. It's AWESOME!!! I know that we all have brothers or sisters and friends that are there for us, but this is different I think. These babies have been together since day 1, literally!

Happy Labor Day!

We are back from Arkansas! We had a great time at my friend's wedding and the kids were awesome. It was a six hour drive and they didn't fuss at all. While were driving, Jake said, "I can't believe how good they are!" I think it is because we do travel so much and they took there first long car ride home when they were two months old. I have officially decided, training works. The kids were great at the hotel, much better behaved than the extremely loud group of teenagers next to us who were still up at 2:00 in the morning. Seriously, where were their parents? Saturday, we hung out at the hotel and watched football. By the way, who gets married on opening weekend of college football? The kids stayed outside during the wedding because I didn't want to be that person whose kid starting screaming. We stayed at the reception until about 10:30. The kids slept through the whole thing, LOUD music and all. I danced my little butt off and could not have been more sore the next morning. Two things I don't do anymore is extra physical activity and wear high heels. I did both on Saturday night and my body and feet paid for it on Sunday. All in all it was a great trip and a great first family vacation!
PS: I only got a few pictures because my camera battery died.
