Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! It's the kids first Halloween, but we have decided to not dress up this year. Honestly no one but Jake and I would see them and they are in bed by the time the trick-or-treating begins, so next year we will really go all out! We did by them some spooky, scary Halloween PJs. Ladies and gentlemen, do not be afraid they are not real ghost and goblins!

The kids and I spent most of the day yesterday at the park because it was so nice, here are a few pics from our adventure.

Enjoying the beautiful day!

The babies also got a new cousin yesterday! Welcome Brooks! If any of our family is reading this we are still waiting for pictures.

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

Well our first trip to the pumpkin patch was not enjoyed by all that participated. Jake and I took the kids on Saturday to get some pictures and pick up a few pumpkins. It was so hot and crowded that we couldn't get to the good spots to take pictures and the kids screamed the whole time. We got a few pics at least to remember our first time, maybe it will go better next year when they are a little more mobile and a little more aware of what is going on. In other news, Jake had the kids all by himself for 24 hours while I was in Tulsa! He did great and they even got baths before bedtime (that is usually my duty). I got a great nights sleep at my parents house and woke up feeling very refreshed. Please remember my SIL, Crissy, she is being induce tomorrow with her first baby! Can't wait to meet Mr. Brooks!

Long time, no blog!

OK so I know it's been forever since I blogged but we have been a little busy. We were in Tulsa for seven days, so it's taken us a little while to settle back in. The kids are doing great. They are getting bigger and doing more on their own everyday. Ella can stand up for a few seconds all by herself now! The boys are pulling up on everything and everyone is walking behind the push cart. The funniest thing is when the hold on to the wall and try to walk, they hug it like they are on a forty foot ledge. The kids have outgrown their stroller once again, so when we went to Babies-R-Us on Sunday for our weekly walk through, and couldn't find anything that would work for us, we decided to make our own. Seriously, there are triplets being born all over the place and you have to be an investigator to find a stroller that is made for three babies, trust me I've done alot of searching! Anyway, we bought the cheap little umbrella strollers for now, just to see if our idea would even work. If it does we will go back and get the nicer ones that will last the kids the rest of their stroller time. I have to say it turned out pretty well. We cut the wheels of one stroller and attached it in the middle to the other two, we're going to try it out for a little while and see if I like it and if I do we are going to invest in the nice ones and put it together with something other that black electrical tape. Sounds trashy but it looks pretty good! Now all we need is to find back wheels that swivel like the front to I can walk through doors instead of having to lift and slide them. Wish us luck!

Here's the kids testing out the new ride!

Fall, Homecoming and Football!

The kids and I are in Tulsa for the OU game this weekend! One of the best ones I've seen in a while at Norman, it was alot of fun. Fall is finally here (kind of) it was only in the high eighty's last week in Texas. We stayed at my parents on Friday night and it was homecoming for Jenks so we decided to take the kids to the parade. I was a little dissapointed that no candy was thrown. How can you have a parade with no candy? Seriously! The kidlets did so good at the parade. They watched the fire trucks and police cars with delight, but the boys started crying when the giant semi-truck of boy scouts drove by and honked it's rather loud air horn, but another float drove by right behind them and they forgot why they were scared. We'll be in Tulsa for a couple more days so I'm sure there will be more exciting antecdotes to come!

10 months old already??!!

I can't believe the kids are ten months old! It has gone by soooo fast! In less than two months they will be ONE!!! It has been a crazy ten months and I know it will only get crazier as the little montsters get older. They change so much that I find myself getting excited every morning to see what they will do next. Everyday is a new adventure, some days aren't as fun an adventure, but it's always interesting. Here is a funny picture for you. The outfit in the middle is the kids Christmas outfit from last year. They were absolutely swimming in them. The other ones are there PJs now, which fit them quite snug I might add. Wow how they have grown!

Well there's a first time for everything!

This week has been a busy week of firsts! First off all three kidlets had their first ear infections. We made it to ten months before going to see the doctor for anything other than a well baby checkup. We feel extremely lucky to have made it this far considering how early they were. Another first, the boys pulled up for the first time and Ella took her first steps. We are now more mobile than ever and boy is it a workout!!! We also had our first fight, Ella and Carter that is. I was in the kitchen and heard them screaming, I go in to find Carter rolling on top of Ella and hitting and Ella kicking and hitting back. Oh this is going to be a fun stage!

This was a weekend for firsts for me and Jake as well. I drove up to Oklahoma on Friday to drop the kids off at my parents to keep them for the weekend! That's right I left on Saturday morning and came back Sunday. It was the first time we had left the kids overnight, or for more than a few hours at that. They did great and me and Jake had our first childless night in ten months! I drove back to Texas Saturday morning and Jake and I went to our first OU/Texas game together. I had been a couple years ago but this was Jake's first time. OU also won for the first time in two years! We had such a good time and it was fun to just hang out and talk for the first time in a long time! I was on bedrest at home and in the hospital for a month so we really haven't been by ourselves since LAST October! We ordered take out sat in our PJ's, watched football and did NOTHING! (except sleep through the night)

Ear infections, standing, walking, fighting, football, and one childless night. Yep it was a busy week!

*WARNING: One naked butt baby picture below! But it's too cute not to post!*

Posin and makin faces

We had a good weekend, minus the Sooners embarrassing loss. At least the Longhorns and the Gators lost too. We took the kids to the park early on Saturday and let them swing while it was still cool outside. Seriously, how is it October and still ninety eight degrees outside. The kids are doing great. No walkers yet but Ella is getting very close and the boys are starting to sit so that's exciting. Here is a few pics from this weekend I think you'll enjoy!!

Hudson in his fire truck PJs

She is so pretty and she makes this terrible face all the time now!

Carter posin for the camera. No this is not a one time thing, he does this every time I take the camera out!
