Play date x Seven

Well the kiddos had their first play date yesterday. We loaded and headed to the zoo with our other favorite trio, Lilly, Marlee and Beau. We had a great time and shockingly, between the seven kiddos, we did not have one meltdown. I think the kids had a good time. We got to see the gorilla up close and personal again and while it scared the crap out my trio, the Fords seemed to not mind at all. We also ran into and got to meet blog buddy Ashley and her boys Dean and Cooper. Lunch time was even a success. Everyone was fed and full with not one disaster! All in all I would say the trip was a success and can't wait to do it again next week!

Here's a couple pics from our fun time yesterday
All seven kids looking at the camera, that's what I call a miracle!

Smarty Pants

I've got myself three little 'Smarty Pants'. The kids had an evaluation for ECI on Tuesday. But, after two and a half hours of evaluation, they said they don't qualify. On their Cognitive, Social and Verbal skills, they all scored right at 25-26 months, and on the Gross and Fine Motor skills, they all scored 29 months. The Pedi mostly wanted their speech evaluated. Ella and Carter are very understandable to me and Jake, and everyone else can understand about 90% of what they say. Hudson on the other hand, is only understandable about 90% of the time to me and about 50% to everyone else. We have an appointment at the ENT on April 7th, where I'm sure they will tell us they all need tubes. After that, they (ECI and Pedi) are sure that Hudson's speech will be right where it should be.

Charlie is finally feeling better. He has eaten non stop Tuesday and Wednesday and finally is acting like his old self. We go back to the doc on Friday for his 4 month well baby check up and hopefully he has put on some weight.

The triplets love their baby brother. So here are some pics of some good lovin'!

Busy Work Weekend

Well with the sickness finally behind us, we had a busy weekend around here. The garage was in desperate need of a good spring cleaning, and our little side yard by the driveway was full of trash from our remodeling. So we borrowed a truck and got down to business. The kids helped out, sort of. They had their rakes, gloves and hats and were ready to get to work. They ended up playing most of the time and mostly getting in the way, but overall, we got alot done. So a few hours, and a giant overfilled truck bed later, all the junks is gone. We still have about two tons of leaves to rake up and get rid of, but other than that there was some definite progress made. So here's some pics of our fun work weekend.

"You want me to do what? I thought this rake was a weapon!" - Huddy
"I'm sorry but I'm way to cute to work" - Ella "The Little Diva"
"Glubs, Momma! Two Glubs!" - Carter Man

PS: Say a little extra prayer for Charlie. Poor little dude has another ear infection. He's lost half a pound since last week. He hasn't eaten a whole bottle in about two and a half weeks. They switched his forumula again, and hopefully that will help. He just cries all the time and I feel so bad for him, so hopefully he will feel better before too long!

We went to Oklahoma......

....and all we got was the stupid stomach bug. (You know, it's like those t-shirts). Anyway, the kids and I headed up to OK for a little trip. My mom was on spring break so we went to hang out for a few days. My brother's girlfriend, Savannah, was there too so all the extra hands were nice. Saturday thru Monday were great. Tuesday morning though, Hudson woke up with a little fever. I assumed it was an ear infection, after all, he has been off his antibiotic for three days. Well, apparantly it was not an ear infection, but the start of "Stomach Bug '09". If you recall, this exact same thing happened last January. We refer to it as "Black Tuesday" to this day. It starts off innocently enough. A couple stinky toots here, a few poops there, and then before you know, you are totally overun with poop! We loaded up to head home on Wednesday. I was driving through Norman to drop Savannah off and stop for a quick lunch with my brother. Every one eats great, we change diapers and hit the road. Well, what normally takes two hours and fifteen minutes, turned into a five hour trip from hell! We stopped no less than twenty times to change sour sickly smelling diapers. Several times, I would just get Huddy changed and back in his seat, start the car, and either him, Ella or Charlie would have another explosion. It was MISERABLE. Why oh why I ask you, does this only happen when I'm traveling by myself? I don't know either! We went through two boxes of wipes, I don't know how many diapers, and three way dirty, way stinky car seats that were promptly washed and hosed down when we finally made it home. Last night, Huddy had a major blow out at eleven thirty and had a midnight bath, but after that, everyone seemed to sleep okay. Of course, today we had our fair share of poops and I gave three baths before noon, but everyone seems to be on the mend and by tomorrow, I think we will all be back to 100%. Fortunately, it does not seem to be as bad as last year, and there was no throwing up this time. Small victories people, small victories.

Since I haven't had time to go through the pics from this weekend, here are some pics from the past couple weeks! Hopefully, I'll get back to my regularly scheduled blogging before to long.

Sweet Charlie

Charlie has kind of gotten jipped in the blogging department. So I decided to dedicate this one all to him. He is the sweetest little baby. He is just so easy. He sleeps through the night, every night and wakes up every morning with the biggest smile on his face. He is happy to lay where ever I put him when my hands are full or I get busy with the triplets, and lets face it, that's most of the day, everyday! The past several weeks have been really challenging for me, mentally. But no matter how bad my day has been, all I have to do, is look at him, and he gives big the biggest, goofiest, best grin. That keeps me sane and makes me feel like I'm at least doing something right! I love you Charlie! So here's some pics and a video of just the big man.

Catchin' a cat nap outside
Watching his big brothers and big sister play outside
Snuggly in his warm blanket
All grins
Enjoying the fresh air

He loves his excersaucer so I decided to try him in his jumperoo last night. He loves it. This is a video of his first time trying it. I tried it later after the kids went to bed and he jumped, I mean really jumped, for half and hour.

Zoo Trip

The kids and I took a trip to the last Thursday. Jake and I took the kids just before Charlie was born, but it was cold and they were riding in the Choo Choo Wagon and couldn't really see much. But this time, we took the kids new ride and they absolutely loved it. Other than sweating our butts off, it was almost ninety degrees, we had a great time. We started out with the monkeys which were a huge hit. After the monkeys, we hit up the elephants and giraffes. There was a baby giraffe which the kids loved. They kept yelling, "Momma, baby raffe!" After the giraffes it was time for the lions and tigers and bears, oh my! The lion was roaring and shaking his mane. It was awesome! The kids were terrified at first, but after they realized that the loud lion couldn't get them, they ate it up. They laughed and clapped, too cute. After the lion excitement, we decided it was time for a picnic lunch. After some PB&J sandwiches, grapes, apples and cookies, we headed out to see the penguins, or "pinkins" according to the kids. There were about thirty of them and the kids were hollering "waddle, waddle, bird waddle!" We decided to hit up the monkeys one more time before we loaded up and headed home. The kids loved it and I was exhausted! Our new ride weighs about 60 pounds, throw in another 130 with the kids and our bags, I was beat! But we had a great time and we will be returning tomorrow! Here's some pics from the zoo. Also some pics of the kids new ride and mine!

The kids new ride. Charlie is in the back by Ella. Excuse my appearance, that stroller and those hills, kicked my tail!

The ride to and from the zoo, was much more pleasant in my new ride! This is my ver first brand new car. I drove it off the lot on Wednesday, with 14 miles on it. She's sooo pretty!
